How our Site Works for Parents

With BabyitterinItaly, it’s easy to find the experienced care you need with features like detailed profiles, background checks, references and reviews. Here are steps we recommend for finding your sitter

Step # 1
Decide what you’re looking for in a babysitter
Who is your ideal babysitter? Think about character, age, and experience. How far does she live from you? When is she available? Your search will be much easier when you know what you’re looking for. Decide upfront what characteristics are important to you, and what you’re willing to compromise on.
Step # 1
Step # 2
For us, your kids safety comes first
When it comes to the safety and well-being of children, one can never be too cautious; this is why we take all necessary steps when performing our screening process. - Face-to-Face: We perform a face-to-face interview determining that each approved sitter meets BabysitterinItaly rigorous standards. - Experience: a hands-on verification of previous childcare experience including but not limited to reference verification, work history review and education verification. -Character Evaluation: personal character evaluation based on several variables identified in the background screening process as well as through the face to face interview with BabysitterinItaly personnel.
Step # 2
Step # 3
Fill in your information, and add a good picture
Sign up with BabysitterinItaly and take a few minutes to set up your profile. The more information that you add to your profile means that we'll show you more babysitters or nannies that are relevant to your search, and the babysitter/nanny will know more about what you're looking for. There is also a section to add more details about yourself. It’s a great idea to add some information about you and your children when and why you need a babysitter or nanny e.g for after school care, or someone to help occasionally Any extra tasks you want your babysitter or nanny to help out with, for example homework or minor household chores.
Step # 3
Step # 4
Review the responses you start receiving
Once your request is posted, you will start receiving messages from our relevant sitters. Remember that you’ll need to upgrade to one of our Paid Membership to respond to sitters who message you! In addition to waiting for applicants to reach out, you can also browse through sitter profiles using various filters such as age, education, distance and rate. Find the right match: Once you have compiled some favorite sitters, it’s time to interview
Step # 4
Step # 5
Set up an interview & meet the kids
It’s time to meet your babysitter! If you’re not entirely sure yet, you can do a video call using WhatsApp or Skype before inviting someone over. If you like what you see and hear, you can invite the babysitter or nanny to your house for a "Meet & Greet" session to continue the interview. It’s an opportunity to get to know them better and see how they interact with you and your kids. It’s great that you get along with your new babysitter, but it’s even more important that your kids get along with them! After all, your kids will spend more time with the babysitter or nanny than you. Look at your new babysitter or nanny and see if they’re comfortable interacting with your kids and if they get on well.
Step # 5
Step # 6
Sign a babysitting contract
When you find a great babysitter, it’s always best to go over the agreements to prevent any misunderstandings. You might even want to record these agreements in a babysitter or nanny contract. The contract can be very simple. You can add all the things you find important: - Hourly rate - Working hours - Additional tasks - Special reminders about your kids (rituals, medicine use, allergies)
